Green Valley Elementary School

Mariah Alfano brings seven years of educational experience to her new role. She worked in Jefferson County
Schools and has been a teacher at Trace Crossing Elementary School in Hoover City Schools for the past two
years. Alfano is a graduate of the University of West Alabama.

Alfano says she is honored to be joining the Green Valley family. “I look forward to working alongside Mrs.
Burbank to foster a lifelong love for learning in each of our students. I love working in rich and diverse settings,
and I know that my experience at Green Valley will bring me a lot of fulfillment,” said Ms. Alfano. She also looks
forward to building relationships with all the teachers, students, and families.
